Campsite is a multilingual web publishing system that can bring your newspaper or magazine content to the online world. It is often used by media organizations who also have a printed version of their publication, and enables them to increase their revenues with online subscriptions and ads. There are many systems that might seem similar to Campsite, but it is the only open source system designed to work in the same style of newspapers and magazines – for example, with multiple journalists, editor review, issue publishing, and subscription management.

Campsite 3.3.5 Now On The Map!

The first Campsite maintenance release of 2010 sees an update to the 3.3 Speedy release that includes a new template package, the ability to embed iframes (such as Google maps) within article text, plus a whole range of bug fixes and other enhancements.

Campsite 3.3: Faster, Cheaper, Better!

We are happy to announce the release of Campsite 3.3 “Speedy,” a major upgrade to our flagship online publishing system. Taking the cue from its namesake, developer Sebastian Göbel’s Irish greyhound, the new version brings major speed improvements (5x), along with other 20+ enhancements and roughly as many bug fixes.

New Howto: Importing Entire Issues From InDesign
