A plugin should be created to enable the creation, display and administration of classified advertising on Campsite-powered websites. Such a feature would consist of:
– a form for inputting classified advertising information (name, address, contact info, ad text, ad start/end, etc.)
– a mechanism for determining if the ad is allowed (if it is not paid for, or free because the user is a paid subscriber, if it has indecent content)
– a mechanism for displaying the ads on the site’s pages (probably best handled by a default template)
– a mechanism to allow interested parties to contact the advertiser
– a widget to allow the ads to be embedded on other sites
– a mechanism for outputting a group of classified ads as a text file for use in print editions
This plugin could be created as an entirely stand-alone plugin, or may be best used in conjunction with Cream.
